FHA 203k Loans

Filling the FEMA gap
The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) administers its grants according to Federal cost sharing requirements. Often, Hazard Mitigation Assistance (HMA) funds may be used to pay up to 75 percent of eligible costs. For some programs and projects, such as those for repetitive loss (RL) and severe repetitive loss (SRL) properties, FEMA may cover up to 90 or even 100 percent of the costs.
Ducky Johnson may be able to help fill the gap left from FEMA funds. With Increased Cost of Compliance (ICC) coverage, property owners may be eligible for up to $30,000 from the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP). These funds may be used for eligible flood mitigation activities, including home elevation. Ducky Johnson’s experience with these programs can assist the homeowner in the application for ICC Funds. Additionally, direct support via a traditional home improvement loan may also be available.
